The “family” has been performing in and around Longmont since 1987! Owners Scott and Mary Lou met while performing at Mary Lou’s sister’s dinner theatre (the Wayside Inn). Since then they’ve produced shows in churches, strip malls, an old ambulance garage, and wherever else they could roll in a piano and a few floodlights. They’ve been at their current location since 1999 and draw talent from Fort Collins all the way to south Denver. The truly boasts a family atmosphere. You’re almost guaranteed to interact with Scott, Mary Lou, sons – Danny & Scotty, and their significant others on every visit to the theatre. They pride themselves on friendliness and customer service. If you’re looking for a unique, fun, and carefree night out you’ve hit the jackpot!

Seussical-June 14-September 1. Now one of the most performed shows in America, Seussical is a fantastical, magical, musical extravaganza! Tony winners, Lynn Ahrens and Stephen Flaherty (Lucky Stiff, My Favorite Year, Once on This Island, Ragtime), have lovingly brought to life all of our favorite Dr. Seuss characters, including Horton the Elephant, The Cat in the Hat, Gertrude McFuzz, lazy Mayzie and a little boy with a big imagination – Jojo. The colorful characters transport us from the Jungle of Nool to the Circus McGurkus to the invisible world of the Whos. The Cat in the Hat tells the story of Horton, an elephant who discovers a speck of dust that contains the Whos, including Jojo, a Who child sent off to military school for thinking too many “thinks.” Horton faces a double challenge: not only must he protect the Whos from a world of naysayers and dangers, but he must guard an abandoned egg, left in his care by the irresponsible Mayzie La Bird. Charlotte’s Web Classes-August 27-September 18 All the enchanting characters are here: Wilbur, the irresistible young pig who desperately wants to avoid the butcher; Fern, a girl who understands what animals say to each other; Templeton, the gluttonous rat who can occasionally be talked into a good deed; the Zuckerman family; the Arables; and, most of all, the extraordinary spider, Charlotte, who proves to be “a true friend and a good writer.” Determined to save Wilbur, Charlotte begins her campaign with the “miracle” of her web in which she writes, “Some pig.” It’s the beginning of a victorious campaign which ultimately ends with the now-safe Wilbur doing what is most important to Charlotte.
